Jim Weiss, award winning storyteller and recording artist, captivated children and adults with his exhilarating tales at a special performance at Del Norte Schools. Known for his in-person performances of classic and original stories, Weiss can be heard on 38 recordings. Jim has been telling stories for over 25 years. He has starred as a storyteller in an Emmy-winning PGS pilot and has also performed at the White House for the annual Easter celebration.

David Taylor Dance Theatre

The David Taylor Dance Theatre was founded by choreographer David Taylor in 1979 and remains Colorado's only professional contemporary ballet company. Critics have lauded the Company as being "polished and emotional" and as "the most ambitious troupe in town". "Simply put, you have to see the Taylor company to believe it."

Aries Brass Quintet

Founded in 1976, the Aries Brass Quintet, the recital quintet of The Denver Brass, is and ensemble internationally recognized for is elegant approach to brass chamber music performance. The ensemble has toured the United States, Western Europe, Russia, and Central and South America. A fresh and exciting chamber ensemble, Aries is in the forefront of commissioning new works which embody the spirit of American music. From exquisite jazz and contemporary sounds to delicate renaissance and Baroque masterpieces, an Aries performance is an event for the heart, mind and soul.

THE BACK ROW: A CAPELLA SINGING CONCERT

This all-male A Cappella group from Colorado College has received national acclaim for its all-vocal arrangements of popular Pop and Rock tunes. (One of their founding members grew up in Del Norte.)  This was the second year in a row that the group has put on an awesome performance for the community.  If you weren't there, you missed out!
